In hospital

Some time ago, Southport & Woodvale 43 round table received a heart felt charity request from a local resident informing us of two very sick children Ella & Sam (aged 7 and 5) Wright.

Both children suffer from Duncan’s syndrome which affects only 100 families world wide. Medical science suggests this illness affects boys only but Ella is one of only two girls worldwide affected by this condition. Lie expectancy, without bone marrow transplant is about 10-15 years.

You can read more about this case here

The family wanted to treat both children to a fun family day out to Lego Land, Alton Towers or another popular destination.

At our last Round Table meeting, we easily agreed this was a case that was perfectly eligible for our cause. We all decided to donate £500 toward the funding of the family day out.
This morning i had a very happy phone call from a close friend of the family thanking Round Table Southport for our generous contribution and we hope to have further updates and pictures showing us how much of a good time they have had.

Its a good day for Southport Woodvale 43 Round Table, our thoughts and best wishes are with the Wright family.
