DJ AM: New York, New York

Let me start with a quote:
“New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.” 2:57 PM Aug 25th

These are the last words posted on the twitter account of Adam Michael Goldstein, a.k.a DJ AM.

I woke up this morning and checked my Twitter trends. I noticed #1 was “RIP DJ AM”, a quick google search took me to Wikipedia mobile http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Goldstein?wasRedirected=true where I quickly gained a better understanding of whom this guy was.

Now personally I’m in no way affected by the sudden and tragic death of this man, however it did make me wonder about the power of Twitter especially after death.
Read his last update above. Are these the words of a man who would later be found dead from drug abuse? Is it possible he was high when sending this tweet? Again it’s irrelevent in real terms, but interesting how Twitter could be used by law enforcment to trace the where abouts of victims, perpetrators, and even the followers associated to such accounts.
As for DJ AM, well he was found in his apartment and the police are not treating it suspiciously, so in this case his Twitter account will not provide anything interesting other than to his fans, family and friends.
However with the introduction of Geo Tagging, you can litterally pin point his wearabouts over a very long period of time.

Imagine OJ Simpson had a Twitter account?, what if Michael Jackson also used Twitter, and his private doctor was a follower. Now that would make for interesting Reading.

Tell me your views, comment below.
Ps. DJ AM twitter page is http://www.Twitter.com/DJ_AM

Matthew’s first day at nursery

Today was Matthews first day at nursery (Busy Bees Southport).

I had him last night until this morning and although I personally felt very I’ll, the wonder of children is you instantly forget your own feelings and concentrate on theirs.

His mother collected him for his first day at Nursery around 9.30 am, you could see how excited even she was, wiping away any dirt on his face from breakfast, putting on his shoes and socks and combing his hair.
Nursery is he next major mile stone in Matthews fast and impressive development. I look forward to collecting him and hearing the feedback from the guys and girls that run the place.
He is already responding to his name, throwing the large ball accross the room, climbing and standing without any difficulty. At almost 11 months I can already see a bright and beautiful young boy.

His first day went very well, unfortunatly I didn’t witness this personally (the downside to parents seperating I suppose) but I did get this nice update from mum after the session.

“He’s done really well considering he hasn’t slept yet. He was too excited and playing earlier which stopped him from being tired but now its lunch and he’s not overly interested in food due to needing a kip. Tomorrow I will make sure he has a kip before hand / allow him to sleep at the nursery so they can see eating and sleeping habits properly. However they have commented at how happy he is and how they think I will have no troubles with matthew settling in to the new surroundings/ people. I’m really happy with this nursery and staff so far.

I’m a very proud father today!

Chased around the garden!

At our annual chairmans BBQ, this little girl wanted to take the camera off me before I uploaded the video to facebook or YouTube.
She fails ofcourse but not before I sink a sweet hoop without really looking!
