I leave for Poznan, Poland in a few hours and wanted to let everyone know how it went last weekend in Blackpool.
TERRIBLE!!! is the short answer.
I wont bore you with a bad beat story, you’ve heard them all before. In short i played m perfect game, slowly built up a solid chip stack of 40,000 before the break and some idiot mis read his hand thinking he had trip 5′s on a A5J board.
I’m holding AJ and it turns out he calls my All in with pocket 3′s. I don’t need to tell you what arrived on the river to give me the dirtiest bad beat in a long time? Yes, 3.
On a lighter note, i must pay tribute and congratulations to the winner of the GUKPT Walsall, Colin McTaggart.

This is Colin’s first major win and to top things off he free rolled in to the event via A World of Poker members website. Colin takes home £57,700 for the triumph and i look forward to seeing him at the cash table again soon.
What am i doing in Poland?
Well i’m glad you asked! Plenty of laughter and bonding with some of my fantastic friends without the single mention of Poker. I always look forward to our twice annual european trip away, i’m the only poker player and nobody has any interest in the venues or events i play. So long as im holding some form of alcoholic drink or infact paying for such items we all get along very well.
